Finished my 'scratch' vocal and sent it off to TN.
A 'scratch' vocal is a vocal that is set in the track of the music so that the musicians have a guide to go by as they record their parts. Once all the instruments are in place (or at least most of them) the singer goes back in and sings it 'for real'.
Scratch is a good term for it tonight. After a good, but long day, my voice is a bit scratchy. One of the biggest enemies of a singer (besides a bad cold) is fatigue.
Guess my long weekend is showing up in my voice. Time to call it quits for the night.
